"RIRE" is the acronym for "Research Institute of Real Estate", which is affiliated with the "Faculty of Construction Management & Real Estate", Chongqing University.

　　RIRE was set up within the former Chongqing Jianzhu Univesity in 1990s with the objective of forging closer industrial research collaboration on issues of concern to the real estate industry. Since
the merger between the Chongqing University and the Chongqing Jianzhu University at the cross-century, RIRE has developed rapidly.Over the recent years, RIRE has provided expert consultancy services and/or market specific studies to various organizatons and enterprises such as the administration departments of the government, private corporations and the public. Further, RIRE coordinates research activities and administers the admissions of students to the department's postgraduate research programme.

　　RIRE adopts a three-pronged strategy in meeting this challenge. Firstly, we aim to strengthen the research ethos among the faculty and cultivate a strong research culture within the department. Secondly, we would like to forge closer links with the real estate industry and government organisations through research collaborations and consultancy projects. Thirdly, we look to initiate multi-discipline, cross-faculty and cross-university research collaborations.
